How to create your podcast with Spreaker Podcasts app
Updated over a week ago

When using the Spreaker Podcasts App, you can easily create your podcast and episodes directly from your mobile device. To get started, you will want to open the app and sign into your account. Once logged in, you will then be able to see any drafts or create a new episode from the Create page.

When creating an episode, you can use one of our ready-to-use templates that give you a step up when formatting episodes. These templates are completely customizable, yet give hosts a common format for the episode types. In our example, we will go through the True Crime template.

When clicking on the True Crime template, you will be brought to the draft for this episode. There will be three dots at the top right of the page, which allow the episode to be renamed, of the draft to be deleted.

Throughout the page, there are different sections that audio can be added to, to get the episode formatted. There are also recommended durations for each section, and at the bottom of the page is the ability to add more sections for the episode. Unwanted sections will be able to be removed by swiping the section to the left and then confirming to delete the section. If any audio is in the section you are deleting, it will NOT be able to be recovered.

For each section, you can either add audio from the device, record directly from the device, or add audio from the library. Helpful tips will also be listed on the page.

Once the audio is recorded, or uploaded, you can use the back option to go to the next section or record more audio for the existing section.

When you add audio for each of the sections, you can then scroll up to the top and select the Publish option.

There will be a page that shows any possible errors with the sections, such as no audio. You can select to go back and edit the sections or select the continue option at the top of the page.

When the continue option is used, you will be directed to give your episode to a podcast on your account or to create a new podcast.

When creating a podcast, it will ask for a podcast Title, Description, and also a cover image which can be uploaded, or our AI tool will create a cover image with the descriptions you enter into the field.

After the podcast is selected or created, you will now be able to give the episode some information to share with your listeners. The Title, Description, and if it is explicit or not. Once completed, you will continue publishing the episode so it can be listened to by your followers.
